API 17L accreditation awarded for Matrix’s innovative distributed buoyancy clamping system

Matrix Composites & Engineering is proud to announce its Distributed Buoyancy Module and Associated Clamping System used in riser/umbilical applications has been awarded API 17L accreditation by Bureau Veritas.

This significant achievement means Matrix is now one of the few suppliers worldwide to have this accreditation from a world leader in testing, inspection and certification services. It is further evidence of Matrix's commitment to innovation and quality and provides customers with the confidence that the distributed buoyancy system will perform to the highest industry standards.

The distributed buoyancy modules are manufactured at Matrix's award-winning facility based in Henderson, Western Australia using advanced, lightweight polymers.
